school clubs

We offer a very successful Breakfast club and several after school clubs.  The clubs are aimed at promoting teamwork, self confidence and collaboration. All our school clubs are run by our own staff and are free of charge.

Breakfast club

Our very popular breakfast club is available daily from 8.15 until 8.45.  Children have a choice of various cereals, toast and fresh fruit juice. Breakfast club is well supervised by 3 members of staff.  After breakfast children engage in various activities until the start of the school day.

Lunchtime clubs

We also offer Lunch time clubs. These change half termly to allow as many children as possible to have the opportunity to experience what is on offer.
Lunchtime clubs include: Digi-Squad, Cookery, Choir

Cooking for KS1 children; The children learn to cook healthy options to extend their knowledge and experience of tastes and healthy eating.

Choir for Year 3,4 5 and 6 children: The aim of our choir is to enjoy some lunchtime escapism through singing. The songs range from old to new to give the children an idea of a wide range of songs. The children will also be involved in singing projects outside of school to show off what Percy Main Primary School really has to offer.

After school clubs

We offer a wide range of after school clubs, including the following:

In Saplings Club the children learn about planting, while taking pride in looking after the school grounds. There is also the opportunity to learn about how our natural world is affected by the choices that we make.

Our drama club is aimed at bringing children together from different year groups through drama games and scripts. The club uses drama to deliver fun sessions and allows the children to create in a very different way. The children are also invited to suggest what they would like to do within these sessions, which creates even more interest within our after-school club.
Come along to Arts and Crafts club and enjoy painting, drawing and making models. Each term has a different theme where we create art work using natural resources.
Dance Club
Our Dance Club works towards the North Tyneside Dance Festival. The children in dance club work hard to choreograph their own dance routine to perform at the festival each March.  The children choose some music and work on creating individual dance moves, group moves and paired moves to incorporate into their routine.
Newcastle United Foundation
Newcastle United Foundation provides an after school club, once per week, where high quality football and netball coaching is delivered to our pupils. The coaches bring a wealth of knowledge and skills as well as making the sessions lots of fun.

This list is by no means exhaustive, occasionally other clubs may be available e.g. basketball, judo, rugby, cricket, multi-skills.

Our after school clubs usually last for between 4 – 8 weeks starting at 3.15pm until 4.15pm and are usually very popular.
