Hello Year 1. I hope you are all keeping safe and enjoying the time you have at home with your grownups.

I am going to set a star of the week each Friday to encourage you to complete learning tasks with your grown ups!!
unnamed-3

Don't forget to you keep reading, if possible take some photos of you reading your favourite books and email them to me so we can put them up in school :)

Auidible storieshttps://stories.audible.com/discovery

Books to read onlinehttps://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/     This website includes lots of free Read Write Inc books, just type in pmps2020 as the class user name and abcd as the password in my class login.

Commencing the week of the 20th April I would like you to focus on completing the Purple Mash activities that have been set for you online. I will set 5 each week so there is one to complete each day! I may have added in a couple more this week for you to try as a challenge.

Take time to read to your adult each day, have fun retelling your favourite stories to each other!

Try to go on Times Table rockstars each day, concentrating on your 2, 5 and 10 times tables.

I would love it if you could complete a phonics activity each day on the phonics play website to keep on top of your brilliant reading skills.

If you would like to complete additional maths work, this website has some brilliant activities. I have added some that I think will be useful for you. There is no need to print the pages off , you can write down the answers in your home book and send me a picture of them if you want to :)

There is a brilliant website called Talk 4 Writing where you can practice your reading and writing skills.

I know being in the house can be a lot to cope with when your are 5/6 years old so why not try some of these outdoor activities to keep active!

Activity Mile Bingo         file:///C:/Users/katie/Downloads/20.4.20%20topic%205.pdf

I hope you are all staying safe and staying home. Please don't worry if you don't get all the activities completed, I can only imagine how hard it must be to home school. If you want to ask me anything do not hesitate to email me.

Take care
Miss Sutton x

star  I am very pleased to announce that Charlie is our star of the week this week!!! Charlie has been working really hard at home on his phonics and has been completing his online work and his home learning pack! Keep up the hard work Charlie. I am really proud of you :)

I also recieved some lovely pictures from Ben and Charlie to show class 1 what they have been up to while at home! Ben has been using his love for football stickers to help him recognise his numbers and Charlie has been reading all about dinosaurs. I am really proud of all the work that year 1 is doing at  home and I can't wait to see you all again soon!
